My old metal comb used to slip right out of my hand mid-groom, but this one's rubber-sheathed handle stays put even when my dog's coat is dusty and dry. The fine side glides through her face fur while the coarse side tackles her back, and it's surprisingly precise for the price.

The rubber grip is a lifesaver when my dog decides to wiggle mid-groom—my hand doesn't slip at all. I use the fine side for her face and the coarse side for her back, and it gets through tangles without snagging.
