My dogs knocked the original cap off and split it, so I ordered this as a direct replacement. It fits the 2.5 gallon container perfectly and seals tight without any leaks, which is all I really needed it to do.
The threads on this cap line up perfectly with my existing waterer base, so it screwed on snug without any wobble. I was relieved the 2.5 gallon sizing was accurate, and now my pets have a steady water supply again.
My waterer's cap finally cracked after years of use, so I just needed the exact fit for my 2.5 gallon model. The threading matches perfectly and it snapped on with a solid click, no leaks at all. Way cheaper than buying a whole new waterer.
