The squeeze latch is so much easier to operate than the traditional slide locks on my old carrier. My cat gets plenty of air through those side vents, and she actually naps during the whole car ride now.

My dog actually settles in this thing within minutes, and the side vents keep air moving so he doesn't pant on long car rides. The easy-open latch is a nice touch too, since I can get him out quick at rest stops without fumbling.

That squeeze latch is genuinely one-handed easy, which matters when you’re juggling a leash and a suitcase. My dog settled right in during the car ride thanks to those side vents, and the whole thing feels sturdy enough for years of trips.
