My older cockatiel finally has a grip he can hold onto comfortably, and the tapered shape makes it easy for him to move from the wide base to the tip as he shifts perches. Attaching it was a simple twist into the cage bars, and he's been using it non-stop all week.
The perch is sturdy and easy to attach anywhere in the cage, which I appreciate, and the taper from wide base to slender tip seems to help my cockatiel grip. That said, I wish it were a bit longer since it only fits in one spot without feeling cramped, but it does the job for now.
