I was a little worried about dust flying everywhere when I cleaned the cage, but moistening the perch with warm water first really keeps things tidy. The scraper is sturdy and gets into the grooves without much effort, so the whole job takes me under five minutes now.
The scraper fits the perch snugly, so I didn't have to wrestle with it at all. Just a quick wipe after moistening with warm water and the grime came off without me scrubbing for ages. My finch's cage finally smells fresh again instead of musty.
The warm-water trick from the instructions is a game changer — barely any dust flies up when I scrub the dowel, and the grip means I don't slip mid-cleaning. My cockatiel's perch looks spotless in under two minutes, which is way faster than my old toothbrush method.
