The extended roof rim really does keep the rain off the doorway, and I noticed the difference right away during a wet week. My pup stays dry and seems to actually like hanging out in there.
Both my dogs crammed themselves inside this barn-shaped house the day it arrived. The plastic feels thick and solid, and the extended roof rim keeps the rain off the opening just like it should.
The extended roof rim over the door does exactly what it promises—my dog stays dry even when rain blows sideways. Assembly took under ten minutes and the barn shape gives him plenty of headroom to turn around comfortably. He claimed it as his nap spot by day two.
