My lab actually brings this one back instead of losing interest halfway across the yard. The holes let air through so it flies farther than the solid balls we used before, and it's held up fine through a couple weeks of daily fetch on grass and gravel.
That hollow mesh design really does let air through, so my lab keeps sprinting after it without getting winded. It's also held up fine after weeks of getting chomped and dropped on the driveway.
The mesh-like hollow design really does make a difference — my lab sprints after this thing way longer than with her old solid ball, and she's not panting nearly as hard afterward. It's held up fine through a couple weeks of daily fetch on grass and gravel too.
