Took it to the lake this weekend and it skipped across the surface forever before my lab finally grabbed it. The aerodynamic shape really does fly straight, even with a wet dog shaking off next to me.
The ZipFlight floats perfectly and my lab actually swims out to grab it instead of barking from the shore. It's pliable enough that it doesn't hurt when he catches it mid-air, and the bright color makes it easy to spot in the water.
Took it to the lake and it actually floats, which is more than I can say for the last fetch toy we lost. The aerodynamic shape gives it a decent glide on long throws, though it does drift a bit in gusty wind.
