The crinkle sound inside is what finally got my picky tabby to pounce, and the silvervine blend seemed to hold her interest longer than plain catnip. She’s already shredded the outside of one can, but it’s still holding together enough to bat around.
My cat usually ignores store-bought catnip toys, but the crinkle sound got her attention right away and the silvervine blend seems to keep her interested longer than plain nip. Only giving four stars because the "ham" shape is a bit smaller than I pictured, though she doesn't seem to mind.
