Didn't expect the little tray at the bottom to matter, but it catches all the residue so I'm not wiping down the box every time. The silicone bristles rinse clean in seconds instead of holding onto that caked-on mess like my old plastic scoop did.
The silicone bristles actually scrub off the caked-on stuff that used to take me forever to chip away, and the residue collects right at the bottom so cleanup is quick. My scoop finally has a spot instead of sitting on the floor.
Wasn't sure a scoop holder was worth it, but the silicone bristles do a decent job knocking caked litter off the scoop. It holds my scoop fine and keeps the residue contained at the bottom. Wish it were a touch bigger, but it does what it says.
