Tossed this in the lake expecting it to sink within minutes, but it bobbed right back up every time. The foam core is light enough that my lab can actually grab it mid-swim instead of dunking it.
Took this to the lake expecting it to get waterlogged, but it still bobs right on the surface after a full hour of fetch. My lab is 70 pounds and hasn't managed to puncture the foam core yet.
The foam core really does keep it bobbing high on the water, so my lab can actually see it from the shore. Only gripe is that it picks up a bit of lake scum after a few retrieves, but it rinses off fine.
